[ Project overview ]

Softening an industrial shell.

The Quiet Loft occupies the top floor of a former warehouse. The project balances the raw character of exposed concrete with warmth, acoustic comfort, and a clear sense of retreat.

The Brief

A large open volume with hard surfaces felt echoing and difficult to furnish. The owner wanted to keep the industrial character while creating zones for living, working, and resting.

Design Response

We defined zones with freestanding joinery rather than walls, added acoustic plaster and heavy textiles, and designed a lighting scheme that makes the space feel intimate after dark.

[ Outcome ]

The loft keeps its generous scale but now feels quiet, warm, and personal — a calm counterpoint to the city outside.
