[ Project overview ]

Furniture that belongs to its room.

Oak & Linen is a family of bespoke pieces — a dining table, benches, stools, and a low sideboard — designed together with a client’s new home and made in collaboration with local craftspeople.

The Brief

Off-the-shelf furniture did not suit the proportions or the material palette of the home. The clients wanted pieces that would last for generations and age gracefully with use.

Design Response

We drew each piece around the dimensions of the rooms and the way the family gathers, using solid oak with simple joinery and natural linen upholstery.
